The growing use of business analytics to drive business strategy and performance throughout organizations has created a parallel rising demand for individuals who understand how to use business analytics to solve business issues. The Poole College of Management offers a Business Analytics Honors Program for our undergraduate students to prepare them to help organizations understand and make data-driven decisions.

Certificate of Data Science in Business

The Undergraduate Certificate of Data Science in Business is a 12 credit interdisciplinary credential that offers a path towards developing essential skills in data science with depth in Business (BUS) content. Students who pursue this certificate will have the opportunity to learn from data science instructors & practitioners, and Business faculty in industry & academia, alongside their peers from various colleges. Students will pursue courses in data management, communication, applications, ethics, business, and more, in addition to choosing from electives of interest.

First Group of Marketing Analytics Graduates Crosses the Stage

On Wednesday, May 3, 2023 eleven Master’s of Management, Marketing Analytics (MMA) students crossed the stage at Reynolds Coliseum and turned a new chapter in their careers. The occasion marked a key milestone for the MMA program, too – as the graduates were among the first thirteen MMA students to complete the program since it launched a year and a half ago.

Opening Doors with Poole’s Master of Management, Risk and Analytics

Historically, risk management has been associated primarily with legal departments, internal audit and insurance and compliance roles… but things have changed. Businesses now realize that they have to think about risk in the context of what they are trying to achieve. To fill the talent gap, NC State launched the Master of Management, Risk and Analytics (MRA) concentration. Designed to develop leaders ready to hit the ground running, the program lays a foundation in data analytics and enterprise risk management and rounds it all out with relevant, real-world, hands-on experience.
